Jasmin Gong holds a PhD degree in comparative cultural studies, and a master degree in computer science. She studied at Tsinghua University and Renmin University in Beijing, and at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn. Gong has some 20 years working experience in “Fortune 500” companies, consulting firms, international organizations and universities in Nigeria, Belgium, Germany, the USA and China. 

Jasmin Gong is the founder of Sino-German Business Network and Europe-Asia Communication Consultants. She initiated and managed the charity project “A School for Sichuan e.V.” Jasmin Yingchun is also an independent curator for contemporary art projects. She will contribute to MERICS’ Society research program as a Visiting Academic Fellow.

The  Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS)is a Stiftung Mercatorinitiative. Established in 2013, MERICS is a Berlin-based institute for contemporary and practical research into China.
