Ka Ho Mok is a Professor of Comparative Policy, and concurrently Vice President (Research and Development) of The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd). A multi-disciplinary researcher, Mok has published extensively in the fields of comparative education policy, comparative development and policy studies, and social development in contemporary China and East Asia. His research also contributed to the field of social change and education policy.

The  Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS)is a Stiftung Mercatorinitiative. Established in 2013, MERICS is a Berlin-based institute for contemporary and practical research into China.
