Didi Kirsten Tatlow is a Hong Kong-born journalist who has worked for The Associated Press, the South China Morning Post, Die Welt and, from 2010, the International Herald Tribune/New York Times. She is a graduate of Chinese and Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

Tatlow has just completed 14 up close and personal years in China, reporting on the rising nation with a special focus on “deep culture,” including politics, gender and feminism, education and psychology. She is currently working on a book about Chinese radical feminist art and activism in China. She is fluent in English, German and Chinese.

Tatlow is married to the Irish journalist Clifford Coonan and has two children.
