„China Security Project“: A collaboration by MERICS and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS)
The China Security Project is an innovative collaboration between MERICS and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). The project aims to address China’s defence and security policy, diplomatic initiatives, indigenous defence industry, hard power capabilities, military operations, as well as the domestic drivers of Beijing’s changing policies. MERICS and Rhodium Group monitor Chinese outbound foreign direct investment in Europe
On the basis of a unique transaction dataset, MERICS and the New York based consultancy firm Rhodium Group (RHG) analyze the newest trends of Chinese direct investment in Germany and the EU. The study „Chinese Foreign Direct Investment“ that was first published in 2015 is updated on a regular basis. MERICS partners with the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) and the Asia Pacific Initiative (API) on the “Technology Alliance Project”
The Technology Alliance Project aims to develop a blueprint for the creation of a new technology policy coordination body by like-minded liberal democratic countries.
