Andrea Frenzel is a project assistant at MERICS. Her current research focuses on the opportunities and challenges of youth exchange programs between China and Germany. She co-authored the report “China kennen, China können” as part of the project China competence in Germany. Her work in the project focused on the development of Chinese as a school subject. Frenzel is a member of the Association of Chinese language teachers in German speaking countries (FaCh). Frenzel studied literature and Chinese studies at the Free University of Berlin.
