Huang Yuxing is an assistant professor in the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University in Beijing. His research interests include international security, Chinese foreign policy, and comparative grand strategies. He teaches courses on international relations theories, the Cold War in Asia, and contemporary US-China relations. At MERICS, Huang works on a research project dealing with China’s Regional Diplomacy during the Cold War. Huang obtained a BA in international relations from Tsinghua University (2009) and a PhD in political science from Boston College (2016). He was a visiting scholar at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University (2017).
