Michal Makocki is a civil servant at the European Union, currently on sabbatical leave. He has worked as a policy analyst at the Trade Strategy Unit in the Directorate for Trade at the European Commission. Prior to that, he worked as Trade Affairs Manager at the EU Delegation to China. Before joining the EU, he served in the Polish Foreign Service as Consul for Economic Affairs, firstly in Barcelona and, subsequently, in Hong Kong. He holds four graduate degrees in Economics, International Relations, European Studies and Psychology.
