Yurii Poita is an European China Policy Fellow at MERICS. He specializes in China's influence in the post-Soviet space, Ukrainian-Chinese relations, regional security issues and hybrid methods of influence. Yurii is the Head of the Asia-Pacific Section at the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies (CACDS) in Kyiv. He also heads the Asian Section at the New Geopolitics Research Network (NGRN). He studied Military Sciences at the Zhytomyr Military Institute and International Relations at the Kyiv International University.
